ILC Letter To The Congregation - October 28th, 2021

Love Intentionally

Love Inclusively

Love Universally

Love Completely

Love Everyone, always

Love Better!

A message from our Senior Pastor:

Siblings in Christ!

Whenever we have an opportunity to say Thank You!, we should. Neglecting to do so, gives the impression that we are not grateful, and these days, that is so far from the truth. I want to invite you to take advantage of the opportunity we now have to say thank you to the people who served diligently and faithfully during the darkest days of the pandemic. We are inviting people from all caring communities to offer a word of thanks and to celebrate their service, including medical professionals, among all the other essential workers who kept us going. Please join us to say “Thank You COVID Heroes!” on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be food and entertainment to celebrate these heroes, but the most important part of the event, will be you saying thank you to them! See you there!

Mexico House Build Mission - Another family helped!

On Saturday, October 16th we built a new home for the Sanchez Valasquez family in Mexico. It was a very long and hot day, but everyone worked really hard and did a great job.

The house turned out really well, both structurally and aesthetically. Everyone liked the Coral-Orange color the family picked. We were able to paint the entire inside including the ceiling for the first time. This is house #14 that ILC has funded and built, in partnership with Project Mercy, and I think we get just a little better each time. We were also able to meet Rubin Guitierez and his children, who received one of the homes we built remotely during the pandemic. Meeting Rubin and his wonderful children after they've lived in the home for a year, reinforced how important and life-changing this mission work is for both volunteers and recipients.

I want to commend and thank the tremendous support from our congregation for this mission work, especially while the pandemic still lingers. Despite the obstacles, ILC stepped up strong with great volunteers, financial support, donations for the family, quilts, and lots of prayers. I continue to be humbled and thankful for the generosity of ILC.

Hygiene Supplies Needed! Interfaith is low on hygiene supplies, shampoo, deodorant, bar soap. There is also a need for new or gently used blankets. Thank you for your consistent generosity!

Food Drop off for Interfaith Community Services Every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday between 9:00 and 11:00 in the morning, volunteers are in the parking lot to move groceries and take all the donations to ICS.
