In this week's newsletter ~ In an effort to make delivering all the relevant news and events to you more streamlined, and to make it easier for you to find what you're looking for, we have recently moved most of the content over to our web site. Each week you will receive an email like this one, with links to where the specific news items can be found. We hope this will be helpful for you in knowing what's happening in our congregation and on our campus.
"SEASON OF REFLECTION" UPDATE The council wishes to thank the congregation for your prayers and patience as we have gone through this time of reflection which began in early August. After much discussion and consideration, the council has decided that beginning November 27, which is the first Sunday in Advent, the services will move back to being at two different times. Both services will be in the sanctuary. New Service Times on Sundays starting Nov. 27 (AFTER Thanksgiving) 9 a.m. – Contemporary 11 a.m.– Traditional We ask you to continue to prayerfully consider how we move forward for worship. Some remaining questions are:
What things do we do because we’ve always done them that way versus what could we do differently to bring rich spiritual & worship value?
How do we bring to younger generations the peace and comfort that brings older generations to worship each week?
How do we integrate the calling for service and social justice of the younger generation into part of the worship experience and weekly recharge for the week ahead?
Again, we thank you for your patience, understanding and most of all, your prayers and dedication to the life of our shared community. We hope that praying daily for Incarnation has become a routine for all of us and that prayer will continue to undergird our life as a community of believers.
