ILC Letter To The Congregation - July 12th, 2022

Hello Church,

The past few days have been ones of great joy and great concern. The joy comes from the young voices and smiles participating in Vacation Bible Camp, which is long overdue at ILC. The concern continues for the health of our members and friends as COVID cases in our community and in our congregation are becoming more prevalent.

At Vacation Bible Camp our volunteers and staff are mindful to keep the children and each other safe by wearing masks at all times and by practicing good hygiene. We are very aware that if circumstances arise putting the children or volunteers at greater risk, we will close the camp for the remainder of the week.

At worship we will be asking all who attend to wear masks indoors. Masks will be available at the entry points of each service for anyone who needs one. We know that this feels like a step backward, but we do believe it to be the right step to take for everyone’s well-being during this current increase in cases.

God’s goodness abounds at ILC and all around us. May we all live into God’s calling to celebrate that goodness while living responsibly for the wellbeing of those around us.

God bless,

Deacon Mindy
