Everyone’s identities are complex. What we see on the surface is not always a fair representation of all that is going on inside of someone. We are a society that likes to mask unflattering qualities and be what the world expects us to be, all while suffering in silence, uncomfortable with or ashamed of the identity we have created for ourselves. That isn’t healthy and it isn’t what God wants for us.
