Three Year Olds

Language blossoms at the 3 year-old age! By age 3, children know 300 words but by age 4 this dramatically increases to 1,500 words. We encourage this development with many opportunities for discussion, especially at group time. We work with our threes to understand concepts such as same/different, shapes, colors, and letters. There is a big increase in independence in three year-olds. One mark of this independence is toilet learning. Fine motor skills are developing so there are opportunities for lacing, beading, etc. We offer strong science and music programs for our threes, include yoga in our daily group time, and attend chapel weekly.
