1..... What's The Difference? Denominations in America
Did you know there are 30 different churches in Poway alone? Why pick one over another? What differentiates the Roman Catholics from the Anglicans from the Lutherans from the Methodists from the Baptists? And what about all those non-denominational churches? What are they all about? We'll take six weeks and learn how all these denominations came about and how we might relate to them.
2..... The Everyday Guide to Wines of California
Using the Great Courses video series, taught by Master of Wine Jennifer Simonetti-Bryan, we will taste wines from throughout California, including Chardonnay, Cabernet, Zinfandel, and Syrah.  In the final class we will have a chance to play winemaker and blend our own creation!
There is no fee for the class, but all will be expected to pitch in providing wine for the class. Class leaders, Darrell and Nancy Datte, will provide the wine for the first class.  As a group we will decide how to proceed from there.
Classes will begin Sept 30 and go for six weeks (9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4). "What's The Difference? Denominations in America" will be held in the Sanctuary and "The Everyday Guide to Wines of California" will be held in the Parish Hall.  CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP NOW!

Saturday Morning Men's Bible Study PDF Print E-mail

Weekly on Saturday morning at Pomerado Hospital.

The coffee is free and breakfast is priced nicely.  Some arrive as early as 7:15 am, and most are there by 7:30 am.  We start promptly at 8:00 am and end with prayer just before 9:00 am.  The early birds solve most of the world's problems before 8:00 am.  Of course there is ample time to update and provide advice to the Padres and Chargers.  Coming late means you will likely find no more apple fritters.  Too bad, huh.

Oh yah, bring your Bible.
