|The Four Faces of Mission|
At Incarnation, we believe that we are called to be in service to all of God’s people, and that we can accomplish this mission most effectively in pursuing four different strategies that we call the four faces of mission. We invite you to join us as we seek to deepen our faith in the saving work of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to serve him, by serving our sisters and brothers wherever they happen to be, and whatever their condition.
Our parish mission is comprised of all the work that we do right here on campus, to make Christ known! This includes a variety of inspiring worship opportunities, Christian education for all ages, a wide variety of small group activities, and quality pastoral care and counseling.
There are so many ways to serve, right in our own neighborhood! At Incarnation, we encourage our members to get involved with such service in as many different ways as possible. We celebrate our partnerships with local social service agencies, where we can reach out in practical ways to help and to serve those in need.
As members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we participate in the regional and national expressions of our church body, through our mission support of a number of activities managed by the ELCA, including seminary education, ecumenical relations, national chaplaincy, etc. Additionally, Incarnation has proactively responded to domestic disasters whenever possible.
Incarnation has a long history of commitment to World Hunger, and has more recently taken an interest in intentionally working to meet the needs of our sisters and brother in Cameroon in west Central Africa. Mission service trips, scholarship programs, construction projects, and educational projects, are but a few of the ways in which we are involved internationally.
